Great taste starts in the earth

From farm to factory and now to you, La fourmi bionique (LFB) granola offers a collection of purposeful blends made from well-raised crops — ingredients that haven’t been genetically modified or irradiated, that are free of pesticides, transfats, and other harmful additives or colourants. Our granola blends are assembled using a majority of local (85%) and organic (70%) ingredients and premium quality fair trade chocolates.

When you purchase a bag of La fourmi bionique granola you are supporting the Slow Food Philosophy and the delicate balance between the earth, its vegetation and our bodies. It means you believe in rewarding farmers justly for the care they take, and you recognize craftsmen for using the most ethical production and employment practices.

From production to market, our organic ingredients and production processes are certified by ECOCERT Canada, a registered independent certification organisation.

breakfast From granola fats to granola facts: a breakfast is a great way to manage your weight.

You might think that skipping breakfast or sticking to a low calorie option to start your day will speed up your weight loss, but in fact the opposite is true. Studies have indicated that those who regularly eat a satisfying breakfast are less likely to become obese than those who decide to skip this important meal or cut back on calories that act as fuel for your day. In fact “good” fats and fiber will keep you satisfied longer and curb pre-lunch cravings.

Our blends are now organic from 75% to 83%, a 5% increase for some blends! We have switched to organic sources for many of our ingredients such as our coconut, sesame seeds, cocoa powder and thompson raisins. The remainder of the “non organic” ingredients are all GMO and pesticide free and, when possible, from local sources.
